Why is Re4mer not a perm?

If Re4mer has no thio and is ammonia free, what gives the hair texture substances?
Re4mer contains a mild amino acid alkali, silk amino acid, sea kelp and proteins to alter the hair bonds internally. By reconfiguring the selected sulfur to sulfur bonds fusing them together, reforms technically advanced texture definition. The formulation and technology assist to help prevent damage to the hair.
What is the bonding cream for?
The Bonding Cream restores the bonds of the hair back to conform with texturizing process applied, using a bromate quaternary compound with conditioning proteins, that also assist to stabilize the pH level.
What about hair color services after Re4mer texture treatment?
Why not, providing the color applied is no more than 20 volume peroxide. Hair with high lift or 40 volume formulas should wait at least one week between the two services.
Please note that any color service must always be done after the Re4mer treatment, not prior. Hair that is 50% highlighted should have a porosity control type of product applied to insure proper results.
What is the pH level of Re4mer?
The THIO free, no ammonia Re4mer pH is 8.5, when the conditioning Bonding Cream is finally applied the pH level is restored to 6.8-7.0 and gradually down to 5.5 pH.
Is the activation gel reusable after opening?
Yes. The Activation Gel will maintain potency for up to 30 days, only if properly recapped after each usage wit the reusable red tip cap that is provided. Air will oxidize and reduce strength of Re4mer. Note: If there is 2 oz or less of Activation Gel, do not use after 7 days to avoid any air oxidation inside the bottle.
How many texture treatments can be given from one 4oz bottle of Re4mer?
At least 2 possibly three, again depending on technique used, length of hair and style.
How long does Re4mer texture last in the hair?
Depending on the varying technique used to achieve the desired texture, Re4mer will give texture substance for up to 12 weeks. Diameters of the type of tool that the hair is rolled on if any, can factor results for texture hold.
How often can you give a Re4mer treatment?
Generally every 6-8 weeks, this decision is entirely up to the individual stylist performing the Re4mer service and the overall condition of the clients hair at the time.
Can you relax or reform curly, wavy or frizzy hair?
Definitely. The Re4mer activation gel reacts like a mild relaxer, though it will not perform as a straightener. Great for de-frizzing or loosening natural curl for up to 6 - 8 weeks.
What type of tools, "Rods-Rollers" etc. can be used, and what about tension?
Most any tool type can be used, Re4mer will give modern texture to the hair, when breaking traditional perming rules to achieve a smooth lift, movement or textural effects. Tension used when applying rod or roller techniques should be at moderate tension.
Can you wrap the hair with traditional perm rods like a conventional perm?
Yes. Don't expect a pristine traditional looking perm. You will get great textural movement. Avoid small rods and sectioning for smooth effects. Have fun, break a few rules.
What type of texture does Re4mer give?
Texture that is in harmony with today's styles. Unconventional would best describe the latest trend and techniques for today's hair designs. The look for new texture is aggressive, bold with an attitude, not your pristine curl of the past. A texture balance is needed for today's style designs. Is there any special processing techniques to do a Re4mer texture enhancer?
No. Depending on the type of tool and technique used, a buckling effect will appear, when unrolling hair that has been rolled at least 1 ½ times towards the scalp (similar to traditional techniques). The buckling will cause ridges to form and group together. If no buckling or grouping appear, and hair is still ridged, continue processing, check again in 10 minutes.
Please note that processing time varies from 20-25 minutes for normal hair type. Color treated hair processing varies for 15-20 minutes. Resistant hair types can be processed under a warm dryer for at least 10-15 minutes if necessary after initial processing time.
